I know that the intake and exhaust are pretty much perfect. I would like to get some aftermarket upgrades for it. It also has the gold mazdaspeed rims, (which i don't think go particularly well with winning blue, so maybe some new rims.). The car has an adjustable spoiler/wing, and the mazdaspeed body kit.
I have a 2005 Mazda rx8 in winning blue. Also adds horsepower and brings out the rotary sound with pops. Allows you to premix without messing up cats. Installed agency power midpipe with stock exhaust. Drove the car home on the highway without problem. Drove on for another lap before I stopped due a red flag in front of me. Some loss of power under hard pull at more than 6k. today on track day, I threw a CEL P0302 at about 7k RPM. 2004 RX8 GT with BHR ignition solution. Replacement ideas would consist of a catless midpipe, BHR is your best bet. Any replacement ideas that would make it sound better?. As far as headers go, I'll probably go with RB, but the mid-catback is going to be 90% of your exhaust tone change. The Black Halo Racing Midpipe with High Flow Cat is a 3-inch pipe design with a single resonator (the design of which is exclusive to Black Halo Racing) that proves two resonators are not necessary to quiet down the Renesis and provide a great sound. like on mornings when the car is initially started reverse gear goes in perfectly but when i put it in drive it takes about 10seconds for the gear to engage ( sometimes a little longer) similarly when i&39m. For anyone that wants to clean the carbon out of the inside of the pipe ends, I recommend carb cleaner. This + a Midpipe brings out the true rotary sound. Love the exhaust tips and figment was right on.
